“May your walls know joy,
may every room hold laughter,
and every window open to great possibility.”
~ Mary Anne Radmacher
Dear friends and students,
What an extraordinary year we’ve just lived through.
It’s been tragic for many and my heartfelt condolences go out to all those who’ve lost dear loved ones. Thankfully, the vaccine is rolling out soon, but grieving families and communities will still need to heal for a long time to come.
While this crisis has reminded us of the preciousness of life, it has also brought its own quiet blessings. For many it has enriched relationships and brought us closer to our loved ones. From extra check-ins on well-being, to virtual get togethers that we may not have bothered with before. Our personal connections now share greater warmth and meaning. For me, this includes my online yoga classes, which have helped me stay connected and sane during these socially distanced times. More than ever I appreciate the importance of togetherness.
Other blessings have come with the forced slowdown of life that has made us shift our focus to quieter things. Spending more time in local nature and reading novels that have been sitting on my wish list for years have been particular joys.
I dearly miss teaching yoga in person – the shared affinity, sweet energy, and fondness that we share for each other in the classroom is irreplaceable. I deeply appreciate all those who’ve been able to attend my classes online. I hope to see the rest of you when we’re able to come together again in person.
May we all continue to stay safe and find peaceful spaces of quiet and healing during these trying times.
Very best holiday wishes to you and yours.
Warmly,
Ann ♥
